Hey, hello!
I’m Laura Einowski, owner and designer of Einowski Color & Design, LLC; welcome!
A little bit about me:
I have been working with color, in some form, for nearly 25 years. I attended College for Creative Studies in Detroit, where I majored in traditional illustration and studied color theory. One of my favorite classes was the dreaded, “Color and Light”, which focused heavily on color theory. The class involved mixing paint to match objects and playing with contrastive and complimentary colors. I remember thinking, “It would be fun to do this every day.”
Fast forward to 2006 where I found myself formulating custom colors from the ground up for residential and commercials spaces. I loved the challenge of creating colors for specific architecture, lighting, function, and - most challenging - the human emotion. I was living the dream!
I eventually left the tinting studio and began working face to face with clients. I quickly realized my years of building colors helped me guide clients through the often abstract and subjective world of color. From that point on, I have been connecting clients to their spaces through color and materials.
My work is centered on residential and commercial spaces; both interior and exterior. I have designed spaces all over the country, with a focus on the West Coast; specifically the Pacific Northwest. I work with my clients to make their home feel as colorful, as tame, as playful, or as serious as they desire. I work to make commercial spaces feel less stagnant and more welcoming. You spend a lot of time surrounded by these walls; they should make you happy!
My goal is to use my years of experience and color knowledge to help create the best space for you, your needs, and the function of your space. It’s my job to bring your vision to life and make the space work for you.
I look forward to hearing about your favorite (and least favorite) colors and helping make your space your own!
I work and live in Seattle with my husband and our cat, Eliza.
When I’m not chasing colors, I enjoy a long run, hiking up mountains, collecting plants, counting birds, and taking a dip in Puget Sound.
My favorite color is purple.
